HISTORY

Our vision is straightforward

To be a leading business with the highest exceptional value

In 1870, Dimitris Papoutsanis founded the first steam engine powered olive oil pressing factory on the Greek island of Lesvos. In addition to olive oil, a small quantity of pure olive oil soap was also produced. In 1913 the production facilities were transferred to Piraeus and the first, modern bar soap production lines were installed. In 1965 the plant was transferred to the Northern suburbs of Athens.
Since February 2001, the new factory is operational near Athens as the largest plant of soap production in the Balkans and one of the largest in Europe. It is also the largest hotel amenities provider in Greece, offering a wide range of personal hygiene products and hotel room’s accessories. The company has been listed on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) since 1972.
