TURNOVER ANNOUNCEMENT for THE 9 MONTHS 2026
October 6, 2026
PAPOUTSANIS: 8.6% INCREASE IN REVENUE FOR THE NINE MONTHS – ON TRACK TO ACHIEVE THE TARGET FOR DOUBLE-DIGIT GROWTH
Papoutsanis S.A., a Greek leading soap and liquids manufacturer and one of the largest producers in the sector in Europe, recorded revenue of 63.7 million euro in the first nine months of 2026, compared to comparable sales of 58.6 million euro in the corresponding period of 2025*, marking an increase of 8.6%.
The strengthening of growth momentum throughout the year confirms the Company’s steady progress toward achieving its goal of double-digit revenue growth in 2026. At the same time, exports accounted for 56% of total sales, confirming the Company’s strong international focus and outward orientation.
Regarding the contribution of the Company’s four business segments, revenue breakdown for the first nine months of 2026 was as follows:
- ¡29% from sales of branded products in Greece and abroad,
- ¡13% from sales to the hotel market,
- ¡44% from third party production,
- ¡14% from industrial sales of specialty bases.
For the full year 2026, Papoutsanis’ management reaffirms its forecast for double-digit revenue growth, driven primarily by:
- ¡new partnerships and further development of existing ones
- ¡the continued strengthening of branded products, as well as new opportunities arising from shifts in the European production landscape, particularly in the contract manufacturing and soap base sectors.
For the full year, the Company expects to maintain its positive momentum, despite the highly volatile international environment. Ongoing geopolitical developments in the Middle East and disruptions to energy and trade flows are keeping energy, fuel, and transportation costs high, while also putting pressure on the prices of certain raw materials. Further developments in these conditions may affect production and supply costs, as well as the broader consumer environment.
The Company is closely monitoring developments and taking timely action to limit the impact on costs and ensure uninterrupted supply and operations.
Overview by Business Segment
BRANDED PRODUCTS: The branded products category recorded an 11% increase in sales in the first nine months of 2026, with growth in both the Greek and international markets. Sales in the domestic market rose by 10%, while exports performed particularly well, increasing by 23% compared to the same period in 2025.
By product category, growth was driven by Home Care, with a 21% increase, while the Personal Care categories also continued to rise, posting a 5% increase.
HOTEL PRODUCTS: The overall picture for the category was affected by reduced activity in the production of hotel supplies for third parties, a fact primarily attributable to a high base from the previous year, due to spot production to meet the needs of a specific customer in the first quarter of 2025.
Overall, the category was down 6% compared to 2025, with the branded hotel products subcategory continuing to expand its customer base in Greece and abroad, recording 10% growth in the first nine months of 2026.
THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS (INDUSTRIAL SALES, PRIVATE LABEL): Sales in this category, which accounts for 44% of total revenue, increased by 11% compared to the first nine months of 2025, primarily due to the growth of existing partnerships as well as the expansion into new ones.
INDUSTRIAL SOAP SALES: Sales of soap bases increased by 11% and are expected to maintain this positive momentum for the remainder of the year.
--------------
Note: For comparability purposes, the figures for the first nine months of 2025 have been restated to align with the accounting treatment of trade discounts effective as of January 1st 2026. Specifically, the relevant discounts to selected retail customers are now recorded via credit memos rather than sales invoices, as was the case until the end of 2025.
This change affects revenue from an accounting perspective, leading to a decrease in revenue, with a corresponding reduction in distribution expenses, without impacting on the Company’s ultimate profitability. Consequently, the published revenue for the first nine months of 2025, amounting to €61.0 million, is restated to €58.6 million based on the new accounting treatment.
